2020 Tailwind Equestrian
Horse Show Series On Hold
Suspension Extended for Equestrian Canada Sanctioned Competition
Ottawa, ON, March 30, 2020 – The suspension of Equestrian Canada (EC) sanctioned competition has been extended to June 1, 2020, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The initial return to competition was set for April 12, 2020, but has been extended due to federal government and public health authority directives to limit COVID-19 transmission. 84 EC sanctioned competitions were scheduled during the timeline of March 16 to June 1, 2020.

No competitions will be sanctioned by either EC or the Provincial/Territorial Sport Organizations (PTSOs) for the period of suspension.

All Tailwind Equestrian horse shows sanctioned are by the Alberta Equestrian Federation, our PTSO. At this time all Tailwind Equestrian Series Horse Shows are officially ON HOLD.

The series will not be cancelled. It will be postponed and/or reformatted. I feel that it is important that we retain our intentions to continue with the show series in some way, shape or form, in order to offer continued goal setting opportunities. My hope is that by finding creative ways to continue with the 2020 series, Tailwindians and friends of Tailwind Equestrian will be encouraged and our community will grow and support each other through our common love of the horse and the sport of show jumping. I hope this effort will improve morale and bring enjoyment to everyone who participates.
